We Are A MEGA Church: Mega Faith

“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1)

Most people think faith is a tool to get what they want. They treat it like a spiritual vending machine: insert prayer, receive result. But I want to give you the punchline right now: Faith is not about end results; it is about the truth that GOD IS.

To be a MEGA church, we must have Mega Faith. This isn’t for the faint of heart or the “situational believer” who only trusts God when the sun is shining. It is for those who are constantly moving forward, in right relationship with a God who is constantly revealing Himself.

Walking with the “I AM”

In Hebrews 11:6, we see that it is impossible to please God without faith. This verse is specifically connected to Enoch. The Bible says Enoch was “taken up” because he pleased God. In the original Hebrew, it says he walked with God.

To please God, you have to walk with Him. This is more than a simple relationship; it’s about stewarding His presence. It’s about being in total awe of the fact that He is omnipotent (all-powerful) and that His Word is “Yes and Amen.” Walking with God means your only reason to live is to be immersed in obedience to Him.

Faith as Spiritual DNA

Look at Abraham in Genesis 15. God told him to look at the stars and promised his offspring would be just as numerous. Abraham believed, and God “counted it to him as righteousness.”

That word “counted” is significant. It means God esteemed him as righteous, but it also means God imputed it into him. When you take God at His Word, He infuses righteousness into your spiritual DNA. Your identity changes when your belief aligns with His promise.

The Power of the Name

As God revealed Himself through history, He did so through His names. Every time a name was revealed, an altar was built. These altars weren’t just places of prayer; they were territorial markers declaring that the land and the people belonged to God.

  • Jehovah Jireh: The Lord Will Provide (Genesis 22:14).
  • Jehovah Rapha: The Lord Who Heals (Exodus 15:26).
  • Jehovah Nissi: The Lord My Banner—the one who goes before you in battle (Exodus 17:15).
  • Jehovah Shalom: The Lord is Peace (Judges 6:24).

When you have Mega Faith, you aren’t just trusting a concept; you are trusting the Character revealed in these names.

Tainted Seed: A Warning

In Leviticus 11, there is a fascinating rule about seeds. It says that if a “carcass” (something dead) falls on dry seed, it’s fine. But if water has been put on that seed and a carcass touches it, the seed becomes unclean.

Think about that in terms of faith. When our faith is “saturated” by the water of the Holy Spirit, we have to be careful what we let touch it. If we allow “dead things”—old habits, past traumas, or worldly deceptions—to infiltrate our faith, it becomes tainted. The seed of faith is no longer good for planting in your life or the lives of others.

Faith comes by hearing the Word of Christ (Romans 10:17), but it stays pure by guarding the heart.

Conclusion: Truth Over Results

Jesus told us that even faith the size of a mustard seed could move mountains. But notice He didn’t say, “Have faith in the mountain moving.” He said, “Have faith in God.”

Mega Faith doesn’t stare at the mountain; it stares at the Mountain-Maker. It isn’t results-oriented; it is Truth-oriented. Like Enoch, our goal shouldn’t be to see a miracle, but to walk so closely with God that our lives are defined by His presence.

Let’s be a church that believes God is who He says He is!
